Expanding its line of biocompatible titanium frits, Oak Harbor, WA-based Upchurch Scientific now offers seven new frits with a porosity of 0.2 µm, the standard size for protein filtration. Ideal for LC-MS, the A-501 and A-502 titanium frits have a PEEK polymer ring and the A-503 to A-507 titanium frits have Kel-F (PCTFE) polymer rings for enhanced sealing capabilities. Titanium frits offer an excellent biocompatible alternative to stainless steel frits. Rings around Upchurch Scientific frits are color coded for porosity identification; red rings found on the A-501 to A-507 indicate a 0.2 µm frit.
