Pleasanton, Calif.-based Cooper Companies Inc. has acquired EndoSee Corporation, developer of an office-based disposable hysteroscopy system. The transaction is valued at approximately $44 million and is expected to be neutral to fiscal 2015 earnings per share excluding one-time charges and deal-related amortization. EndoSee will be merged with Cooper’s women’s healthcare unit, CooperSurgical.
“The acquisition of EndoSee fits perfectly with CooperSurgical’s office/surgical strategy of bringing high quality products to the OBGYN while leveraging our infrastructure,” said Robert S. Weiss, Cooper president and CEO. “This product has been cleared by the U.S. Food and Drug Administration and we plan to launch the product in the United States in the middle of fiscal 2015.”
CooperSurgical supplies women’s health clinicians with products and treatment options to improve the delivery of healthcare to women.
