CMD Inc. (Catheter and Medical Design) is pleased to announce that it has selected Steven Burdorf as company president. Based in Roseville, Minn, the global supplier of catheters, plastic extrusion, and braided and coiled tubing hired the 25-year veteran to provide his background of leadership in managing complex operations and organization design for high growth in public and private medical device companies.
Prior to joining CMD, Burdorf served the vice president of customer experience for Wright Medical. He also served as president and COO at CEA Medical Manufacturing, vice president of operations at Aesculap (a division of B. Braun Medical), and in leadership roles at American Medical Systems and GE Security.

Burdorf serves on the Board of Directors for JEC Miller Inc. and is a student mentor at the University of Utah Center for Medical Innovation. His has an MBA from the University of St. Thomas, an undergraduate degree from the University of North Dakota, and continuing leadership development from the Wharton School of Business at the University of Pennsylvania.
