CEA Medical Manufacturing Inc., a contract manufacturer of final packaged critical care medical devices, has promoted Steven Burdorf to president of the company. Burdorf joined CEA Medical Manufacturing as the chief operations officer in the fall of 2012.
According to a statement issued by the Colorado Springs, Colo.-based firm, Burdorf has “provided exceptional leadership in transforming culture, improving operational efficiency and positioning CEA for substantial growth.”
He brings 21 years of leadership and “ a diverse skill set,” according to the release, in managing complex operations and business matters for public and private medical device and high-tech companies.
Prior to joining CEA Medical Manufacturing, Burdorf served as vice president of operations at Aesculap Inc. (a division of B. Braun). He also was a member of the leadership teams at American Medical System and GE Security.
Burdorf serves on the board of directors for JEC Miller Inc. and is a student mentor at the University of Utah Center for Medical Innovation. His has an MBA from the University of St. Thomas, an undergraduate degree from the University of North Dakota, continuing leadership development from the Wharton School of Business a the University of Pennsylvania and numerous operations efficiency certifications, according to the company.
