Burlington, Mass.-based LeMaitre Vascular has completed the acquisition of Clinical Instruments International Inc. for $1.1 million. Clinical Instruments is based in Southbridge, Mass., and manufactures carotid shunts and embolectomy catheters.
LeMaitre’s second- and third-best-selling product lines are catheters and shunts, and the acquisition of Clinical Instruments will bolster those segments. Clinical Instruments also brings two new products to the LeMaitre Vascular sales bag: latex-free carotid shunts and latex-free dual-lumen embolectomy catheters.
“We are pleased at the market and [stock keeping unit] expansion opportunity Clinical Instruments affords us, and we anticipate a smooth integration,” said David Roberts, president of LeMaitre Vascular.
