Medical Device Puerto Rico is set to kick off its third annual exhibition and conference Feb. 1-2 at the San Juan Convention Center.
The site of the next Medical Device Puerto Rico, co-located with Interphex Puerto Rico and Supply Chain & Logistics Puerto Rico, is the waterfront San Juan Convention Center. |
“The 2007 Medical Device Puerto Rico event reads like a who's who of the medical device industry. With leaders from Roche, Edwards, AMO and LifeScan participating in roundtable discussions; expanded educational sessions on regulatory issues, manufacturing technologies and continuous improvement; and leading suppliers exhibiting a host of technologies and solutions, this event truly has become the Caribbean's premier forum for medical device manufacturing,” said Kevin Richards, group vice president for Reed Life Sciences, a division of Reed Exhibitions.
More than 60 exhibitors will showcase their products, services and technologies at the next Medical Device Puerto Rico conference and exhibition. Along with the exhibition, attendees will have ample opportunity to network with colleagues and to form new business relationships with other attendees. Photo courtesy of Reed Life Sciences. |
The conference portion of this event will be broken into three tracks: regulatory issues; manufacturing excellence; and continuing education seminars focusing on CAPA compliance and Lean manufacturing.
The regulatory track will cover subjects such as quality system compliance/simplification, the FDA’s post-market surveillance programs, inspection priorities and handling warning letters and complaints. In addition, one session will be devoted to understanding the FDA’s 21 CFR Part 806.
The manufacturing track will provide insight on topics such as analyzing process risk using FMEA, the latest information on using lasers in medical device manufacturing, E-beam sterilization use with plastics, as well as RFID trends, challenges and its outlook for use with medical devices.
