Rapidwerks Inc.07.28.21
Rapidwerks Inc. is growing and adding capacity, enabling customers to have the flexibility for larger injection-molded components.
The tag line "Get Small," which the company was founded on, is manufacturing micro-sized injection-molded components smaller than a grain of race with complex geometry for the medical field. "Today, with no part too small or too big, we've been offering micro-injection molding for over 20 years. It's an obvious step," Rapidwerks Founder and President Scott Herbert said.
Positive Customer Impact
"Many customers have benefited from Rapidwerks' micro molding services over the years," Herbert noted. By adding larger tonnage injection molding machines, it allows Rapidwerks to upscale and upsell its offering to existing customers and explore new opportunities, which were typically outside of its abilities.
"It's a great addition from our perspective, we can now add to our micro-sized business with Rapidwerks and have the confidence our multiple parts they produce will work together," said a Rapidwerks customer.
Additional Capacity
Rapidwerks has partnered with its long-time supplier, Arburg Inc., adding two 470 injection molding machines and two 570 injection molding machines. Arburg is a well-respected machine manufacturer the company has relied on for more than 20 years. Arburg produces top-quality machinery to the industry with an impeccable reliability and up-time rating.
Founded in 2003 by Herbert, Rapidwerks provides micro-injection molding and plastic injection molding services to the medtech industry. The company offers a range of products and services designed to meet the most stringent customer requirements in the medical field. Rapidwerks is ISO 13485-certified and uses a Class 10 cleanroom for micro-injection molding and precision molding.
