MicroCare Corp. 08.10.16
MicroCare Corp. has added to its executive ranks, hiring William D. Kushner as executive director of strategic accounts and marketing.
Kushner spent more than three decades as vice president, Product Management & Operations at Techni-Tool, one of the largest electronic distributors in the United States, which now is part of W.W. Grainger. He managed or influenced every aspect of Techni-Tool’s success throughout his tenure. He pioneered a supply chain management process that was instrumental to the company’s success, according to MicroCare officials. He created long-term strategic plans to increase revenue and develop new markets, such as the acquisition of Wassco by Techni-Tool. He also sought new vendors with which the company could develop true partnerships. These relationships added thousands of new customers and millions of dollars in incremental revenue to the business.
“We’re thrilled that Bill is joining the team at MicroCare,” said Tom Tattersall, MicroCare's chief operating officer. “He is well-known across the industry and highly regarded by all. His industry knowledge and relationships will be enormously helpful to MicroCare.”
Kushner describes himself as a very hands-on executive, working across departments on product management, marketing, pricing, acquisitions, instilling continuous improvement and process efficiencies along with a host of other responsibilities. He typifies his management style as one that is focused on finding the right processes to continue to drive “best-in-class” performance.
“This is going to be a very different work experience for me,” Kushner said. “MicroCare is like a laser, totally dedicated to critical cleaning. It is growing at a ferocious rate. My contribution will be to help shape that growth, help focus the company’s efforts, and help pick just the best opportunities which will maximizing value for customers and shareholders.”
“Bill is going to have a very broad portfolio at MicroCare,” explained Christopher A. Jones, MicroCare president. “Rather than button-hole him into a department or function, we’re going to ask him to ride high and wide, looking across all our markets and products and capabilities to help us formulate better strategies for our most critical accounts. Bill’s expertise and management style will be extremely helpful in many parts of the company.”
Kushner is a graduate of LaSalle College and pursued post-graduate studies at Temple University. He is a Special Olympics volunteer and works with other community organizations.
Since 1983, MicroCare Corporation has been manufacturing cost-effective, environmentally-progressive fluids and tools used for precision cleaning, coating and lubrication. These products are supplied to a wide variety of industries such as electronics, metal finishing, transportation, photonics, medical devices and aerospace. New Britian, Conn.-based MicroCare Corporation has an ISO 9001-2008 registered quality system; its product portfolio includes MicroCare, Sticklers and MicroCare Medical among its many brands.
