Stimwave Technologies Inc. has begun a partnership with Epimed International; both companies make pain management devices. The partnership, in addition to co-product development, will support distribution of Stimwave’s Wireless Pain Relief technology, expanding the Stimwave USA network to more than 100 sales representatives speaking directly to doctors, medical centers and hospitals across the country. Stimwave’s wireless neuromodulation device became available in the United States in January 2015.
“This is an extremely significant partnership that will dramatically accelerate the introduction of Stimwave’s Wireless Pain Relief technology not only to physicians across the country, but more importantly to the millions of chronic pain patients who will benefit from it,” said Stimwave Chairman Laura Tyler Perryman. “Epimed is the gold standard in its field, and we are proud to embrace the Epimed team as our partners.”
“Since our founding 30 years ago, Epimed International has been dedicated to providing high-quality, effective products and tools to assist with acute and chronic pain management,” said Gabor J. Racz, CEO of Epimed International. “Stimwave’s Wireless Pain Relief technology represents a giant step forward in this quest. We are excited and honored to announce this partnership and very much look forward to adding this novel technology to the family of pain management tools offered by Epimed to the field.”
Stimwave will use Epimed’s manufacturing, packaging, fulfillment, distribution, reimbursement and physician services. Epimed has established a proven team for immediate response to meet the demand for Stimwave products, with facilities located in Upstate New York, the Dallas/Fort Worth area in Texas and representatives across the United States. Epimed has been a contributor in procedural demonstrations through national and local workshops to assist physicians in treating chronic and acute pain.
Officials from both companies say that through this partnership, Stimwave and Epimed are further focused on a strong commitment to physician assistance for further advancement of interventional pain management techniques.
