Titanium Industries Inc. (TI) has opened a new sales office in Duisburg, Germany.
According to the company, the new facility is an integral part of its global growth strategy with specific focus on the European market. T.I. currently has international locations in Sao Paulo, Brazil; Montreal Canada; Birmingham, England; Bergen, Norway; Taipei, Taiwan; Shanghai, China; and Bangalore, India. The company also has nine locations in the United States, including its headquarters in Rockaway, N.J.
"This expansion in continental Europe offers significant opportunity to provide improved customer service and response to customers of TI," said Jeff Wise, vice president of sales and marketing for TI and Pierce-Spafford Metals Company Inc. "With last year's acquisition of Pierce-Spafford, we now supply most metals and alloys from aluminum, alloy and stainless steels, beryllium/copper, nickel alloys and titanium on a global basis."
Thomas Ziert was named sales manager of the German operation. Ziert has many years experience in the metals and distribution industries in Europe. Ziert will report to Craig Simpson, managing director-Europe.
