Intrinsic Therapeutics Inc. has tapped a former Wright Medical executive to be its new chief executive. Cary Hagan, a 20-year veteran of the orthopedic implant industry, is the spinal company's new CEO. Company founder and board member Greg Lambrecht, who has served as president and CEO of Intrinsic, will continue as executive director.
The frim, based in Woburn, Mass., makes the Barricaid spinal implant used in treatment for herniated lumbar discs.
Hagan was senior vice president, commercial operations, Europe, Middle East and Africa, for Wright Medica, where he had worked since 1989. He left earlier this year.
