Teleflex Incorporated has experienced another growth spurt.
The company now boasts a greater extrusion production capacity, having completed an 8,200-square-foot expansion to its Teleflex Medical OEM facility in Jaffrey, N.H. Officially opened earlier this month, the newly-expanded extrusion plant—with its several extrusion lines—manufactures polytetrafluoroethylene (PTFE) tubing and fluorinated ethylene propylene (FEP) heat shrink products.
The Wayne, Pa.-based firm bolstered its extrusion capabilities to meeting rising customer demand for precision extrusion and access devices used in critical medical applications such as cardiology, neurology, and radiology, among others.
“Expanding our facility will enable us to continue supporting our customers’ needs,” said Jake Wagner, Teleflex Medical OEM’s senior engineering manager. “Our customers provide life-saving products, and speed-to-market is crucial. Having a partner that can continue to grow with them is essential.”
Besides bolstering its production capabilities, Teleflex expects the expansion project to create additional job opportunities in the area, contributing to the local economy and community development. Executives did not provide specifics on job numbers or the types of positions the expansion will generate.
“Teleflex anticipates that this project will not only bolster our production capabilities but also create additional job opportunities in our local community, contributing to the economic development and prosperity of Jaffrey and its surroundings,” Krista Ray, global digital marketing communications manager for Teleflex Medical OEM, told Medical Product Outsourcing.
“Teleflex Medical OEM is dedicated to enhancing its capabilities to better serve our customers worldwide,” Ray continued. “We recognize the vital role our capabilities play in improving the health and quality of people’s lives, and this expansion reaffirms our commitment to fulfilling that mission. The addition will give us the capacity to grow with our customers. As a fully integrated partner, we will be able to offer additional capabilities that support extrusion manufacturing.”
