Zepp Clarity has debuted its next-generation premium hearing solution, Zepp Clarity Pixie. Built on the technology and virtually invisible design of its flagship product, Zepp Clarity One, the Pixie provides a natural hearing experience for those with mild to moderate hearing impairment.
The new over-the-counter (OTC) product line has seamless connectivity to wireless devices, 17 hours of battery life, and is nearly undetectable when worn.
According to the World Health Organization, hearing loss affects 48 million U.S. residents and nearly 430 million worldwide. Since the U.S. Food and Drug Administration's (FDA) October 2022 ruling, adults with mild-to-moderate hearing loss can now purchase hearing aids in store or online without a prescription, exam, or audiologist fitting. Consequently, a growing number of Americans with hearing loss are accessing hearing aid solutions more easily, which could lower average costs by as much as $3,000 per pair, the FDA estimates.
"The FDA's Over-the-Counter Hearing Aid Act signaled a monumental shift, impacting the accessibility and affordability of hearing aids," said Stan Zhang, general manager of the Zepp Clarity Business Unit. "We're at the forefront of the OTC hearing aid market, leveraging cutting-edge technology and design to redefine optimal hearing health and destigmatize hearing aids. Underpinning our belief that hearing health is fundamental to overall wellness, we aim to embolden those with hearing loss to take control of their well-being, comfortably and confidently."
Zepp Clarity Pixie
Zepp Clarity Pixie embodies all features of its predecessor, Zepp Clarity One, including the ability to personalize hearing experiences to specific needs and preferences. The hearing aid is crafted with a durable yet lightweight titanium alloy shell; combined with medical-grade silicone earplugs, it offers comfort, breathability, performance, and biocompatibility for an enhanced hearing experience. The Pixie has an IPX7 water-resistance rating and incorporates a "Find Device" feature.
Designed to integrate effortlessly into a user's daily routine, Zepp Clarity Pixie seamlessly fits in the ear canal, serving as a virtually invisible companion that discreetly guides them through their day. Users can control Zepp Clarity Pixie from smartphones, tablets, or Amazfit smartwatches via Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE) technology. Additional features of Zepp Clarity Pixie include:
