Cardinal Health has promoted Pharmaceutical Segment senior VP of EIT Michelle Greene to its chief information officer (CIO). Greene will report to CEO Mike Kaufmann and join the company’s executive team.
"Michelle is a proven leader with a wealth of experience across multiple industries," Kaufmann told the press. "Innovation is core to our business and we believe under Michelle's leadership, we will continue to make advancements to best serve our customers and their patients."
Greene began working for Cardinal Health as SVP of EIT for the Pharmaceutical Segment in 2021, developing IT strategy for the business’s objectives. Before Cardinal, she was CIO and VP of IT for Masco Corporation and spent almost a decade with Johnson Controls, serving in several executive roles including VP of IT.
Greene has a master’s in information science from Florida State University and an executive certificate of international business from the Wharton School. She has earned many awards, including including the Top 25 Most Influential Black Women of Business, and is an active member of multiple non-profit boards.
