Catheter and Medical Design LLC (CMD) and VitalDyne Medical Inc., manufacturers of custom, highly complex catheter solutions, have rebranded under the name “VitalPath.”
The move builds on CMD’s acquisition of VitalDyne in March 2021. The acquisition created a platform with all the precision technologies needed to manufacture minimally invasive devices with greater speed, flexibility and value.
“After joining forces with VitalDyne, we wanted to develop a name that would represent our shared energy around our specialty—building complex catheters and subassemblies to meet our customers’ most challenging requirements,” said VitalPath CEO Randall Sword. “’Vital’ means full of health and energy, which reflects our passion for our work, as well as the life-saving work our complex catheters do in the hands of healthcare providers.”
“Path’ represents navigating vital pathways of the body with complex catheters,” Sword said. “It also refers to guiding our customers through the entire product development pathway, from rapid prototyping to finished device assembly and packaging.”
The company also unveiled a new website at vitalpath.com. The expanded site reflects the combined company’s unique set of technical knowledge, proprietary processes and in-house capabilities to partner with customers throughout the product development process for complex catheters and subassemblies.
