“I look forward to resuming as the company’s president and CEO and would like to thank Ms. McDonnell for her contributions during her tenure,” said Susi. “I remain optimistic about our future and am excited to lead IRADIMED through its next stages of growth,” said Susi.
McDonnell was unanimously appointed to succeed Susi as president and CEO in late July 2019. Susi stepped down as president and CEO on Aug. 19, 2019, after leading the company since its founding 27 years ago but remained board chairman and assumed the new position of chief technology officer. McDonnell was also elected to the Board of Directors effective Aug. 19, 2019.
Under Mr. Susi’s leadership, Iradimed achieved many milestones:
- Developed and commercialized the world’s first and only non-magnetic MRI compatible IV infusion pump
- Completed a successful initial public offering in July 2014
- Increased revenue from $7.7 million in 2012 to $30.4 million in 2018, a compound annual growth rate of nearly 26 percent
