Laning’s focus includes product processing, cost optimization, and overall quality for Flambeau’s new products and customer programs, as well as the establishment and implementation of a robust Advanced Product Quality Planning (APQP) validation process for Flambeau.
Laning has over 25 years of experience in the plastics industry, including his role as vice president of Operations and Engineering at Bemis Manufacturing (Sheboygan, Wisconsin), as well as various engineering leadership roles working for Newell Rubbermaid, W.T. Rogers, and Gillette. He has considerable education and training that provide a basis of expertise, including a Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering and a Master’s Degree in Manufacturing Systems Engineering from the University of Wisconsin-Madison. Laning is also a licensed engineer in the State of Wisconsin and a member of both the Society of Manufacturing Engineers and the Society of Plastics Engineers.
