Repro Med Systems Inc. dba RMS Medical Products, has appointed John Toomey to the newly created position of vice president of Growth and Innovation. Toomey brings to RMS more than 30 years of medical device industry experience as an executive, patent officer, inventor, board member, and advisor.
Toomey is responsible for research and development, product innovation, and business development, and integrating these capabilities across the enterprise. He will also play a key role in building a robust IP platform.
Toomey has held leadership roles at numerous medical device companies, including Pneuma Systems Corporation, Validose Inc., Halkey-Roberts Corporation, Smith’s Medical Inc., and CR Bard (acquired by Becton Dickinson). He also founded 2ME Mgmt Consultancy LLC, which specialized in developing latent market opportunities and solving project, regulatory, and IP challenges in the medical device space.

Toomey earned a bachelor of science degree from Allegheny College, an MBA from the Marshall School of Business at the University of Southern California, and JD from Thomas Jefferson School of Law.
Toomey holds 24 U.S. and foreign patents.
