Oberg Industries, a full-service contract manufacturer of precision metal components, tooling and stamping assemblies, has named Joseph G. O'Brien as director of human resources. O'Brien has worked in a variety of H.R. leadership roles for more than 20 years. He will report to David Bonvenuto, Oberg's president and CEO.
O'Brien will guide and supervise the H.R. teams at the company's U.S. manufacturing headquarters in Freeport, Pa., as well as at the company’s site in San Jose, Costa Rica.

"We look forward to Joe's leadership in building upon our successful apprenticeship and ongoing training development initiatives and leading our company to better serve our customer partners with our human capital."
O'Brien most recently served as vice president, human resources and facilities, for Tollgrade Communications Inc. He holds a bachelor’s degree in philosophy from Gannon University in Erie, Pa., and has Senior Professional in Human Resources and Global Professional in Human Resources certifications through the HR Certification Institute.
In addition to the medical device industry, Oberg also serves sectors such as aerospace, automotive, consumer/industrial products, defense, energy, construction and housing, and metal packaging.
