Raynham, Mass.-based EndoEvolution LLC, a medical device company that makes automated suturing technology, has appointed two new members to serve on its board of managers.
“We are extremely pleased to be adding Dave Murray and Rob Hoctor to our board,” said Ron Rudowsky, CEO of EndoEvolution. “They bring extensive medical device industry experience both in large companies and in the start-up world. Adding their knowledge and expertise to our team will be instrumental in our efforts to grow our business.”
Dave Murray has been the president of ConMed Electrosurgery since 2004, and has more than 25 years of experience in the medical device industry, including stints as president and CEO of Z-KAT Inc. and American Medical Systems Gynecology Inc. During his seventeen years at Johnson & Johnson, he served as vice president of sales & marketing at Ethicon Inc. and president of Critikon Inc. He also served as start-up CEO of three other early stage medical device businesses. His prior board experience includes directorships at Power Medical Interventions Inc., CryoGen Inc., and CryoCor Inc. Murray holds an M.B.A. in finance from the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania in Philadelphia and a B.S. in industrial management from Purdue University in West Lafayette, Ind.
Robert Hoctor has extensive, diversified global leadership experience with more than 25 years in medical devices and industry including entrepreneurial start-up companies as well as major conglomerates such as Kimberly-Clark Healthcare and Covidien. Hoctor has served as president of Catheter Robotics Inc.; an early stage development company, vice president and general manager of Johnson Medtech; a division of Johnson Electric, vice president global strategic marketing at Covidien Surgical Solutions, vice president international for Tyco Healthcare, and general manager at U.S. Surgical. In addition, he has held marketing roles at Kimberly-Clark Healthcare and American Hydro-Surgical Instruments. Currently, Hoctor is chief strategist at Impact Planning Group LLC. Hoctor holds an M.B.A. from the New York Institute of Technology and a B.S. in Industrial Management from Purdue University.
