Veridiam, Inc. announced an expansion of its VTA-100 tissue arrayer product line featuring the availability of microarrayer instruments supplemented with trinocular microscopes, digital cameras, laptop computers, and tissue microarray data analysis software. Veridiam tissue arrayers are based on proprietary technologies and know-how to produce customized microarrays using tissue material extracted from paraffin blocks and assembled on a single glass slide. Veridiam arrayers are currently the only instruments featuring a microscope station integrated and indexed with the donor and recipient block stations. In addition, all VTA-100 and VTA-110 microarrayers offer a unique multiple Z-height stop technology that enables precise delivery of paraffin tissue cores and prevents loss of precious tissue material.
The new VTA-100 arrayers (supplied with a binocular microscope) and VTA-110 arrayers (provided with a trinocular microscope) can now be enhanced by attaching a variety of low- and high resolution digital cameras connected to PC or MAC computer systems to provide tissue section imaging and file archiving capabilities. The TMA Foresight software package, originally developed by Premier Biosoft International, Inc., was designed to correlate biomarker expression in tissue microarrayers with clinical parameters and
outcomes. These options provide the researcher with a variety of new tools for constructing, imaging and analyzing precise high-density tissue arrays in automated histopathology applications.
"Engineered and manufactured at our facility in Southern California, VTA-100 and VTA-110 tissue arrayers will considerably extend current capabilities of Veridiam tissue microarray product line and provide a cost-effective solution by integrating and packaging state of the art optics, vision systems, and imaging software," said Patrick Lorenz, the general manager of Veridiam facility in Poway, CA.
"The new product extension reflects our strength in the design and manufacturing of the microarrayer technology platform," said Neal Nordstrom, president and CEO of Veridiam, Inc. "We will continue to develop and produce innovative high-quality tissue arrayer instrumentation for our customers in academia, biopharmaceutical industry, and clinical laboratories."
All VTA-100 and VTA-110 tissue arrayers are available immediately from Veridiam's international distributors or its Web site. Please click on "Contact Veridiam Medical" for more information.
