Exclusive content drove MPO website traffic for the second consecutive week, courtesy of print issue features and digital posts.

This week’s pageview champion was an online exclusive about cleaning validation changes embedded within ANSI/AAMI ST98:2022 involving simulated-use cycling, test method controls, and test results interpretations. The new standard requires simulated-use  cycles be completed before performing a cleaning validation, and it includes additional test method controls that were not previously specified in TIR30—namely, a positive sample control and a negative device control. Another notable change involves the way in which test results are interpreted.

Runner-up in traffic production was a magazine feature (October issue) discussing the latest trends and challenges of micromolding, followed by another online exclusive about the development a new SARS-CoV-2 test that directly samples viral particles in exhaled breath for infectiousness. Imec developed the solution in collaboration with Belgium’s UZ Leuven University Hospital to conduct the clinical validation.

The other magazine feature attracting cybervisitors was a roundtable discussion on medical device extrusion. The sole news item garnering digital attention was Verily’s $1 billion investment round and change in leadership.
