Medtronic has appointed new leaders for three of its businesses: Diabetes, Surgical Robotics, and Cardiac Rhythm Management.

Que Dallara
Que Dallara will become executive VP and president of Diabetes. Dallara was most recently president and CEO of Honeywell Connected Enterprise. She also held general manager and strategy positions at TE Connectivity and Microsoft. She succeeds Sean Salmon, who will now focus on exclusively leading the company’s Cardiovascular portfolio.

Mike Marinaro
Mike Marinaro was named president of Surgical Robotics. He has served for over 20 years at Medtronic, previously leading the Cardiac Rhythm Management business. He replaces Megan Rosengarten, who’s taking a six-month sabbatical.

Dr. Kweli Thompson
Dr. Kweli Thompson was appointed president of Cardiac Rhythm Management. He was previously VP and GM of Cardiac Resychronization and Defibrillation Solutions and has over two decades of experience in business development, clinical research, and marketing.

“The future of medical technology requires strong leadership in data science, artificial intelligence, and robotics, all of which make these three Operating Unit President roles some of the most important and dynamic leadership opportunities in our industry,” Medtronic chairman and CEO Geoff Martha told the press. “These appointments not only strengthen our businesses and build our technology expertise; they also further establish Medtronic as a destination for world-class talent.”
