Cadence to Open Pittsburgh FacilityPosted on November 28, 2012 @ 08:21 amCadence Inc.’s new location in Cranberry Township, Pa., is scheduled to open in the first quarter of 2013. The 21,000-square-foot facility will include up to 10,000 square feet of clean room space and 5,000 square feet of office space. The company expects to employ as many as 60 people there. Cadence’s use of the existing building in Cranberry Business Park was approved by Cranberry’s board of supervisors at meeting on Nov. 20.
According to Cadence, entrance into the finished device business is another step in its long-term strategic plan. The Pittsburgh area was chosen for Cadence’s newest facility because of the availability of employees with specialized medical device knowledge and experience. The city also happens to be conveniently located to Cadence’s existing offices in Cranston, R.I., and its headquarters in Staunton, Va. “The Pittsburgh location has enabled us to put together an experienced and proven team from the medical device industry to expand Cadence’s business,” said Marc Mabie, vice president and general manager of the new Cadence facility. |
