Fabricating miniature (or even microscopic) parts rapidly without requiring much in the way of secondary processes to “clean” the finished output is not something all suppliers can provide. For those manufacturers who require these types of components, this level of service capability can be invaluable. Further, to be able to offer off-the-shelf parts or quotes, in some situations, as soon as a day later is a differentiator.
