Medical Manufacturing Technologies (MMT) is showcasing a diverse array of its technologies at CompaMed this week, including automated balloon pleating and folding, thermal bonding, catheter hole drilling and RF tipping, automated tube cutting, and medical needle point grinding.

A standout in the lineup is the MPT Automated Balloon Pleating and Folding Machine (PTF), which uses a servo-controlled fold head equipped with stainless steel blades coated in a high-wear-resistant, low-friction material. This coating ensures flawless pleating and folding of medical balloons, significantly improving accuracy and reliability, according to the company.

Another machine featured at the four-day show (Nov. 11-14) is the Tridex Point Grinding System. Integrating with Tridex Electrochemical Grinders (ECG), this system grinds various medical needle points burr-free including Menghini, trocar, Franseen, and other custom points. In addition, it can be used for conventional abrasive (non-ECG) grinding applications.
