New President Named at Cadence

Alan Connor has joined Staunton, Va.-based Cadence as president. Connor joins the company following years in key leadership roles for major healthcare and life-science companies, including most recently as the vice president and general manager of Orthopedic Specialties for MicroAire Surgical Instruments in Charlottesville, Va.

Prior to his role at MicroAire, Alan worked at Medrad, Inc., a medical device division of Bayer-Schering Pharma, where he gained a wealth of experience in global supply chain management, Lean manufacturing, marketing and new product development.

“We are very excited about the opportunity to have Alan as a key member of our executive team,” said Peter Harris, CEO. “The addition of Alan strengthens our long term commitment to excellence in metals manufacturing for the healthcare and life science markets.”

According to Harris, Connor, also has a proven track record of building strong organizations and customer relationships while improving operating efficiencies.
