Elcam Medical, based in BarAm, Israel, received 510(k) clearance from the U.S. Food and Drug Administration for its Haskal Guide Wire Torque device. This is Elcam’s latest addition to its Interventional Cardiology and Radiology accessory portfolio.
The one piece, side-loading torque device is designed to facilitate guide wire manipulation during interventional procedures with easy one-handed operation. According to the company, the Haskal Guide Wire Torque Device allows for easy loading and removal, while accommodating a wide range of wires between 0.010″ to 0.038″.
The Haskal Guide Wire Torque device complements the rest of the company’s portfolio of products – Y-Click, H-Flow Valve, Disposable Straight Pressure Transducers and Medium and High Pressure Stopcocks.
Elcam’s products are uniquely designed for hemostatic operations, The Y-Click and H-Flow provide easy manipulation during catheter insertion and facilitates injection of contrast media, company officials noted.
