Elcam Medical ACS Ltd Acquires Lucomed S.p.a.

Kibbutz Bar’Am, Israel and Carpi, Italy–Elcam Medical, a leading OEM supplier to the medical industry, is pleased to announce that it has acquired Lucomed S.p.a., based in Carpi, Italy. Terms of the transaction were not disclosed. Lucomed is a leading Italian medical technology company specializing in the manufacture and distribution of medical disposable products for the OEM market, with a particular emphasis on those operating in the global hemodialysis segment. This represents Elcam’s second transaction in the last 18 months having acquired majority interest in Injectech LLC, a Colorado-based company in 2009.

Lucomed was founded in 1993 as acommercial firm and commenced the manufacture of medical devices in 1996. Over the past decade, Lucomed has grown significantly. Today, Lucomed enjoys a unique position as a global supplier of disposable components, with a well–diversified and loyal customer base, including leading multinational companies, three state-of-theart production facilities in Italy and a comprehensive range of customizable products.
