Hoya Corp. division Pentax Medical has gained CE marks for its INSPIRA video processor and i20c video endoscope series.
INSPIRA is compatible with Pentax’s recent endoscope models and “sets new standards” in combination with the i20c video endoscope series.
The video processor is compatible with two connection types and allows for upgrading the legacy endoscopy portfolio to the latest imaging standards. The smart feature also extends each endoscope’s lifecycle for better sustainability. INSPIRA combines functionalities in one plug-and-play solution and it’s controlled via a customizable touch panel with image enhancement functionalities and 4K image processing.
The i20c endoscope generation has improved maneuverability, angulation, and handling, according to the company, with further improved vision. Its control body and lightweight connector are also designed to optimize the endoscopic wokflow.
Rainer Burkard, global president at Pentax Medical, told the press: “Pentax Medical INSPIRAT video processor not only upgrades legacy instruments’ imaging capabilities, in combination with our new i20c endoscope generation, it is a milestone for endoscopy. In line with our commitment to continually innovate products, this cutting-edge solution provides a future-proof platform and we are proud of the ground-breaking image quality it brings.”
