GE HealthCare to Buy IMACTIS to Boost Interventional Guidance

GE HealthCare has entered a deal to acquire IMACTIS, a company focused on computed tomography (CT) interventional guidance across a variety of care areas.
 
IMANCTIS is a France-based company founded in 2009 and created CT-Navigation, an ergonomic universal tool providing stereotactic needle guidance to enable intuitive pre-planning and continuous control throughout a range of procedures.

It is an innovative navigation solution for image-guided percutaneous procedures that aims for better patient outcomes, by reducing variability for simple and complex procedures and improving reproducibility.”

GE HealthCare plans to expand the technology to its image guided therapy (IGT) business to drive further growth. IMACTIS CT-Navigation includes an integrated workstation, guidance software, and disposable procedure kit and is currently approved under the European Union’s Medical Devices Regulation (MDR) and has FDA clearance. GE HealthCare is a leader in CT with a large install base and global scale, allowing opportunities for the IMACTIS CT-Navigation system at client sites.
