Interplex Acquires OCP Group

OCP Group Inc. will soon be part of the Interplex family.

The latter company is purchasing OCP, a San Diego-based custom connector and cable assembly design and manufacturer. Terms of the deal were not disclosed. 

“OCP has a solid track record of over 30 years in the design and manufacturing of highly reliable custom connectors and cable assemblies for key major OEMs. The acquisition of OCP is a strategic investment in expanding Interplex’s fast-growing Medical & Life Sciences product portfolio in the customized interconnect and cable assembly solutions. They also bring valuable opportunities in specialized sensors as well as harsh environment applications. This acquisition will complete our company-wide strategy for accelerated growth by enabling our focus on key megatrends such as “Decarbonization of Transportation”, “Future Mobility”, “Increase Longevity” and “Digitalization”, where Interplex has established a strong position over the last 5 years,” said Alessandro Perrotta, CEO, Interplex.
