The greater than 50,000 sq. ft. facility, houses four continuous debind and sintering furnaces, multiple batch furnaces, dedicated metal injection molding equipment as well as a fully staffed and equipped metallurgical lab. The MIM process produces very complex parts with geometries and tightly controlled dimensional tolerances more cost effectively then casting or machining. The latest expansion adds continuous debind and sintering furnace capacity, which is more cost effective and provides a competitive advantage in the manufacturing of higher volume MIM components.
Matt Jennings, Chairman and CEO of Phillips-Medisize Corporation said, “We are very excited about this new expansion as it is yet another example of Phillips-Medisize’s continuous commitment to investing in our customers needs, as well as in keeping with our Company strategy of investing in people, processes and facilities. We believe this expansion, with the addition of another continuous debind and sintering furnace, also allows us to service more new, and existing, customers with the largest capacity for metal injection molding in North America.”
