Vernay China Plant Now Fully Operational

Vernay Manufacturing Company Ltd. has added a Suzhou, China, manufacturing facility to its group of plants. The location opened in early 2011, but is now a fully operational manufacturing plant that mirrors the production capability and quality standards of their other manufacturing locations in the United States, the Netherlands and Italy, company officials said. The Suzhou team has achieved the certifications for ISO 9001-2008, TS16949 and the ISO TS.  

The newly completed plant is part of Vernay’s global-local strategic initiative that brings engineering resources, sales support and manufacturing to common geographic areas providing global resource coordination through a local contact. The Vernay Suzhou plant will serve the company’s Asia-Pacific customers across their traditional market segments including medical. Vernay’s Engineering Resource Center is located in Singapore and will provide support for the plant as well as the local customer base.

“Our goal is to have the same high quality standards in China that we have at our other Vernay locations: providing good products and services to our customers, an environment that promotes teamwork, participation, safety, job satisfaction and personal development to our employees as well as environmental responsibility,” said Patrizia De Cata, director of operations for the Suzhou Plant.

“The Vernay Suzhou location is our first wholly owned fluid control production plant in China,” said Andy Woodward, vice president of Global Sales & Marketing of Vernay. “We are proud to serve our Asia-Pacific customers locally with a fully functional design and manufacturing team.”

We have high expectations for the Suzhou Plant Team. They have already made great progress by gaining all of their necessary ISO and TS certifications.”
