Titan Medical Selects Benchmark to Manufacture Enos Surgical Robot

Titan Medical has signed a manufacturing and supply agreement with Benchmark Electronics to produce Titan’s Enos robotic single access surgical system workstations and patient carts. Benchmark’s manufactured solutions will be integrated with Titan’s camera and multi-articulating instruments, which Titan plans to manufacture at its Chapel Hill, N.C. facility.
 
The deal is part of Titan’s plan for manufacturing of surgeon workstations and patient carts to be used in human studies expected to begin in 2023. These studies will support the company’s planned De Novo application to the FDA.
 
Benchmark was selected as a manufacturing partner due to experience and vertical integration in complex medical device engineering, manufacturing and assembly, and capacity to scale production with demand.

Benchmark produces medical products featuring complex electromechanical systems and sensing technologies, including MRI machines, CT systems, energy delivery devices for surgery, handhelds, and connected medical devices.
