Tekni-Plex Appoints President of Medical Business Unit

Chris Qualters has joined Tekni-Plex as president of the Tekni-Plex Medical business unit, a global supplier of high-value components, materials, and solutions to medical device manufacturers.
 
Qualters will be responsible for market development, commercial excellence, developing organic growth strategies, and accelerating mergers and acquisitions for Tekni-Plex Medical, which has revenues approaching $200 million and nine manufacturing plants in five countries.

Experience
Qualters comes to Tekni-Plex from NN Inc., where he was responsible for the Life Sciences Division focused on the orthopedic, medical surgery and diagnostic end markets. Prior to that he was the chief commercial officer of NN, and vice president of sales and marketing at Autocam, a company that produces tight-tolerance automotive components. He has also held positions at Bosch, serving in a variety of sales, marketing, and product management roles.
 
Qualters earned a Master of Business Administration from the University of Michigan in Ann Arbor, and a Bachelor of Science in mechanical engineering from the University of Massachusetts, Lowell.
