In response to spiking demand for products in several of its primary markets, Teel is growing its presence in the Baraboo, WI area, adding capabilities and facility space. To accommodate its growth, Teel is increasing wages and ramping up its hiring efforts.

The company’s Industrial Court facility in Baraboo (formerly the home of LSC Communications) focuses on plastic gas pipe and telecommunications conduit manufacturing. In 2023, Teel is set to double the facility’s pipe production capacity. Some equipment for the first of several new gas pipe extrusion lines is already installed and operational. Teel plans to lease about another 230,000 sq. ft. of the Industrial Court facility in 2023, adding to its current lease of 180,000 sq. ft.

Teel is also investing in more capacity at two other Baraboo locations. A new clean room and new medical extrusion lines were installed at its Teel Court headquarters to bolster the company’s presence in the medical device market.

Teel has raised its hourly wages by 10-15% across the board. Teel now starts day shift employees at over $19 per hour, and those with manufacturing experience start even higher. In addition, the company recently launched an annual employee bonus program to further reward the success of the Teel team.

“We want to bring in the best people in the area,” adds Jerry Pritchett, Teel’s CEO, “and our new pay scale and bonus program will help do that. We have a lot of exciting opportunities in front of us.”
