Solar Atmospheres Adds to its R&D Team

Company hires Leight University graduate with a metallurgical engineering background.

Solar Atmospheres has recruited Ava Conolly to its Research & Development team as a metallurgical/ R&D engineer.

Conolly recently earned a bachelor of science degree in chemical engineering from Lehigh University, with a concentration in materials science and metallurgy. Her academic background and passion for metallurgical engineering makes her a valuable addition to Solar’s technical team, company officials said.

“We are excited to welcome Ava to Solar Atmospheres,” Jamie Jones stated. “Her knowledge, enthusiasm, and fresh perspective will strengthen our R&D capabilities as we continue to develop innovative thermal processing solutions for our customers.”

In her new role, Conolly will support R&D initiatives, process optimization, and metallurgical analysis, helping advance Solar Atmospheres’ commitment to technical excellence and continuous innovation.

Solar Atmospheres is the largest U.S. family-owned commercial heat treating company. Its seven heat treat facilities – Eastern Pennsylvania, Western Pennsylvania, California, San Diego, South Carolina, Michigan, and Connecticut serve more than 18 industries, including aerospace, automotive, defense, medical, and power generation, among others.
