Shawn Millerick Named President, Vision Care, at Johnson & Johnson

Appointee has extensive expertise in the Vision space.

Johnson & Johnson has appointed Shawn Millerick as president, Vision Care, Americas, responsible for defining strategy and driving growth for the company’s North and Latin Americas Vision Care portfolio, including the ACUVUE contact lens brand.

With a strong focus on accelerating digital transformation, Millerick will collaborate with customers and continue to optimize outcomes for patients and eye care professionals.

“I am thrilled to have Shawn onboard leading our Vision Care business across North America and LATAM. His exceptional leadership and deep expertise will serve as a transformative catalyst for our future growth,” shared Peter Menziuso, Company Group Chairman, Vision, Johnson & Johnson MedTech.

MIllerick has extensive expertise in the vision space bringing strong knowledge regarding commercial strategy and enterprise solutions, as well as broad consumer healthcare experience, OTC marketing, focusing on shopper marketing and category insights.

He received his MBA from Babson F.W. Olin Graduate School of Business, and graduated Magna Cum Laude.

In addition to Millerick’s appointment, the company announced that Erin Powers has taken on expanded responsibilities to lead the Surgical Vision business across both the United States and Canada as vice president of North America, Surgical Vision.

Powers has nearly 20 years of experience across vision-focused companies. She’s a proven leader known for her deep relationships within the eye health community, with a track record of establishing strategic business functions, developing ophthalmic and optometric market segments, as well as medical affairs and professional education management.

Powers is the immediate past president of the Ophthalmic World Leaders organization, a member of the Board of the International Society of Refractive Surgery, the industry representative on the Oracle Vision Council, co-chair of the Women of Dartmouth Development Committee, and a member of the Chief network. Powers earned an MBA from the Tuck School of Business at Dartmouth and the London Business School.

Together, Powers and Millerick will focus on maximizing the growth of the Johnson & Johnson MedTech’s Vision Care and Surgical Vision portfolios and collaborate to capitalize on opportunities, synergies, and the company’s culture as a unified Vision organization.
