Stewartsville, MN-based Rochester Medical has settled a lawsuit with Premier Purchasing Partners, one of several companies it sued in 2004, according to the Minneapolis/St Paul Business Journal.

Under the agreement, Premier, which is a group purchasing organization, will pay Rochester Medical, a manufacturer of medical catheters, $8.82 million.

“This now gives us a solid opportunity in the acute care or hospital market,” said Rochester Medical CEO Anthony Conway. The company has recently announced a contract with Premier.

Rochester Medical’s suit continues against other defendants C.R. Bard, Murray Hill, NJ; Tyco International of Princeton, NJ and its subsidiary, Tyco Healthcare Group; and Irving, Texas-based Novation and VHA Inc. The trial is scheduled for May 2007.
