Resonetics and Australian Scientific Instruments Partner for Laser-Ablation Instrument

Resonetics LLC and Australian Scientific Instruments Pty. Ltd. (Canberra, Australia) will partner for the marketing, development and manufacture and of the RESOlution laser-ablation product line.

Brought to market in 2007, Resonetics’ RESOlution laser-ablation instruments have proven their capability in a range of mass spectrometry applications, particularly in geochemistry and the wider earth sciences, according to a joint press release issued by the companies.

In 2013, Australian Scientific Instruments (ASI) and Resonetics introduced the RESOchron, which integrates ASI’s ALPHAchron thermochronology instrument with a RESOlution instrument to demonstrate and offer to market a unique product for dual thermo- and geo-chronology mineral dating. Building on this product line collaboration, the companies initially have established a marketing alliance whereby ASI will assume responsibility for worldwide marketing and sales of the range of RESOlution instruments. This marketing alliance is the first step toward ASI acquiring the complete RESOlution product line later this year.

Tom Burns, CEO of Resonetics, is bullish on the ASI partnership.
