ResMed to Acquire German Software Firm MEDIFOX DAN for $1B

ResMed has begun a deal to acquire MEDIFOX DAN, a privately held, German out-of-hospital software solutions provider, for about $1 billion.
 
MEDIFOX DAN’s solutions include care documentation, personnel planning, administration, billing—similar to ResMed’s U.S. SaaS brands MatrixCare and Brightree. The deal builds on ResMed’s existing German business thanks to cloud-connected devices to transform care for sleep apnea or other respiratory patients.
 
With market launch of new software generations MD Outpatient and MD Inpatient, MEDIFOX DAN aims to set new standards for the future of care and accelerate digitization of healthcare as part of the ResMed global team.

MEDIFOX DAN employs over 600 people. ResMed plans for the company to operate under its SaaS business. The transaction is expected to close by the end of this year.
