Quasar Medical Opens New Thailand Manufacturing Facility

Quasar Medical, a manufacturer of interventional and minimally invasive devices, has opened its newest manufacturing facility in Chonburi, Thailand.

This new facility adds to the company’s initial investment in Thailand, which was announced at the 2025 groundbreaking. It’s now Quasar’s third site in the country.

The company said the new facility strengthens its regional manufacturing presence in Asia and boosts its capacity to support both global and local (“in-region, for-region”) production strategies.

The new building was designed to support high-volume manufacturing and complex device assembly. It provides capabilities in catheter systems, micro-assembly, and finished device production.

Demand for minimally invasive technologies is growing, so Quasar said expanding manufacturing in Southeast Asia helps it better serve OEM partners through localized production, shorter lead times, and more flexibility. By this year’s end, the Thailand operation is expected to have about 1,2000 staff members in manufacturing, engineering, quality, and operations.

Before the official launch, Quasar held a traditional merit-making and Buddhist blessing ceremony to show its respect for local traditions and dedication to community involvement.

In September, the company completed its acquisition of Nordson Corporation’s design and development contract manufacturing businesses in Galway, Ireland; and Tecate, Mexico.
