Prodigy Appoints Dr. Eugene Chung as Chief Medical Officer

Prodigy, a full-service product development partner, has named Dr. Eugene Chung as its new chief medical officer (CMO).

Dr. Chung will guide clinical strategy for the company’s medtech portfolio by ensuring device development is clinically informed, regulatory-ready, and aligned with unmet patient care needs. He will work closely with engineering and product teams to speed translation of clinical insights into impactful medtech and ensure clinical safety.

Dr. Chung is a nationally recognized expert in advanced heart failure and mechanical circulatory support. He has decades of front-line experience, and will help Prodigy match engineering efforts with real-world clinical needs.

He currently serves as an advanced heart failure Cardiologist, Director of Outreach and Innovation, and is the immediate past Director and Chief of Cardiology at The Christ Hospital in Cincinnati, OH. A graduate of Yale University and the University of Massachusetts Medical School, Dr. Chung trained in Internal Medicine at Mt. Sinai in New York City, Cardiovascular Medicine at UMass and in Transplant Cardiology at Columbia University.
