Pioneer Announces Successful Implantation of Interbody Spacer

Pioneer Surgical Technology Inc. has announced the successful European human implantation of its new interbody spacer, the nanOss Cervical cage. The device is made from robust nanocrystalline hydroxyapatite and is used to treat cervical disc disease. The surgeries, performed at hospitals in the United Kingdom, are the first expansion of Pioneer’s biologics products in Europe.

“We are very pleased to expand our interbody product offerings into Europe with nanOss Cervical and to utilize the alliance with our sales, technical and support teams in Europe,” said Shane Ray, general manager of biologics for Pioneer. “This product is the first of its kind composed of hydroxyapatite to provide strength as a cervical spacer. We look forward to expanded sales of nanOss Cervical throughout key markets within and outside Europe.”
