Pilgrim Quality Solutions Adds Vice President of Global Services

Pilgrim Quality Solutions, a global provider of enterprise quality management software and services for the life sciences companies, has hired George Penton as vice president of global services.
 
In his role with Pilgrim, Penton is responsible for leading the company’s worldwide Professional Services Group, directing the team’s project scoping and implementation execution for all of Pilgrim’s quality and compliance business solutions deployed by its customers. He is responsible for developing and productizing Pilgrim’s market-driven service offerings to drive long-term customer success and business value realization.
 
Penton brings to Pilgrim nearly 30 years of project management experience and operational accomplishments leading international enterprise-wide software implementation initiatives. He most recently served as consulting director at ScottMadden Inc., a management consulting firm based in Atlanta, Ga. In that role he led large multi-functional teams on complex transformation projects, including post-merger integrations and shared services implementation and optimization projects.
 
Previously, Penton held various project leadership positions within SAP, including functioning as a director in its post-merger integration program management office, and director of the Financial Shared Services Center for SAP’s America’s region in Buenos Aires, Argentina. He also was a member of SAP’s Market Development Organization’s solution management team, responsible for driving product development roadmap and strategy for SAP financial applications. Penton also worked with Spherion Corporation, both as director of shared services, and project lead for its Peoplesoft ERP financials implementation.

Penton earned a bachelor’s degree in accounting from Barry University in Miami, Fla., and a master’s degree in business administration from Nova Southeastern University in Ft. Lauderdale, Fla.
