In celebration of National Manufacturing Day, Penn United will have an opening ceremony and open recruiting event focused on manufacturing line technicians for its newly renovated manufacturing facility.

During this event Penn United will showcase its new facility, and promote careers in manufacturing for the high-tech markets it serves throughout the Penn United organization.

As part of its company vision, Penn United exists as an entrepreneurial, employee-owned organization with a fixation on supporting our customer-partners with value-added manufacturing solutions. Back in 1982, based on the need of several of its customers-partners, Penn United developed its first electroplating lines. The electroplating technology allowed the company to add precious metals and solder alloys to stamped metal connectors and terminals, which provides enhanced conductivity to transfer current or data through an electrical connection. With this value-added capacity to support the electrical connectivity market, Penn United saw additional needs to expand facilities and grow line capacity throughout the next few decades.

“In the last few years, we have experienced unprecedented demand driven by exponential growth in our connected world, and the need for stamped and plated electrical contacts and terminals. As a result, we have outgrown our current facility. We are excited to announce that this fall we will start moving into our new advanced materials processing facility located at 300 North Pike Road in Sarver, PA” said Bill Jones, President and CEO of Penn United Technologies, Inc. “This 50,000 sq. ft. renovated manufacturing space will have advanced electroplating and processing lines, testing and quality control labs, waste water treatment equipment, and upgraded environmental controls providing better efficiencies for our customers, and a modernized environment for our dedicated employee-owners.”

The company will start moving this fall and will complete the move within the next 12 – 18 months as it works with customers to qualify production in this new facility. Penn United is actively hiring manufacturing line technicians to help prepare for its move and to work in this updated, modern facility.

The grand opening will be celebrated with a tour, lunch, and ceremonial ribbon cutting for invited members of local government, community, businesses, media, trade associations, Vo-tech and trade school representatives, and local school administrators. Following the grand opening, the company will open the facility to community members and anyone interested in exploring careers in the newly renovated facility. More details on the schedule of events for this grand opening and recruiting event will follow.
