Olympus Inks Distro Deal with MacroLux for Single-Use Urology Tech

Olympus has begun an exclusive global distribution agreement with MacroLux Medical Technology to distribute single-use urology products.

The agreement covers multiple single-use cystoscopes, ureteroscopes and suction access sheaths. These devices are used to access and visualize the bladder and urinary tract, as well as treat urinary diseases and disorders like kidney stones.

Olympus provides a variety of kidney and bladder stone management and non-muscular invasive bladder cancer (NMIBC) visualization and access solutions for detection and treatment. By adding MacroLux single-use endoscopes and access sheath portfolio, Olympus can provide more flexibility and confidence in visualization and surgical precision.

MacroLux single-use cystoscopes feature a 140-degree field of view and 235-degree up/145-degree down distal tip angulation. They have a 14.5 Fr outer diameter with a 2.2 mm working channel. MacroLux single-use ureteroscopes have a 7.5 Fr and 8.25 Fr outer diameter scope with a 275-degree distal tip angulation, AutoHold technology thumb lever control, and a 120-degree field of view.

The agreement includes distribution in the U.S, Canada, countries in Europe, and countries in the Asia-Pacific region.

Countries in Europe include UK, Ireland, Austria, Belgium, Netherlands, Luxembourg, Norway, Denmark, Switzerland, and Sweden. Countries and regions in the APAC region include Australia, New Zealand, Hong Kong PRC, Singapore, and South Korea.
