Labor-related news (appropriately) drove digital traffic on MPO’s website this post-Labor Day week.

Personnel proclamations from Novocure, CMR Surgical, and iRhythm Technologies captured the bulk of cybervisitors’ interest in the wake of America’s national holiday to honor and recognize the U.S. labor movement and its workforce’s contributions. Novocure topped pageviews with its report about its pending CEO transition. Chief Executive Asaf Danziger is retiring at the end of 2024 after a 22-year reign and will be succeeded by Chief Financial Officer (CFO) Ashley Cordova on Jan. 1, 2025. Danziger will serve as senior advisor into early 2026 and remain on Novocure’s board. Cordova, who has been CFO since September 2020, joined Novocure in 2014.

CMR Surgical moved website traffic by appointing Markus Bauman as chief Legal & Business Affairs officer, and Michelle Paknad as senior vice president of Global Business Development. Bauman has more than two decades of in-house legal experience, as well as experience at global world-renowned law firms. Previously, he served as chief legal officer and general counsel at Matillion. Paknad has more than 20 years of leadership experience in the medical devices sector, with particular expertise in sales and marketing within soft-tissue surgical robotics. She was most recently vice president of Global Robotics and Digital Health at Smith+Nephew, where she ran the robotics franchise.

iRhythm Technologies attracted site visitors with its CFO transition. Daniel Wilson, the company’s executive vice president of Corporate Development and Investor Relations, succeeded Brice Bobzien as CFO on Sept. 3. Bobzien—the company’s CFO for two years—will serve as an advisor to iRhythm Technologies until 2025 to ensure a “smooth transition” for Wilson.
