The new month elicited new interests from MPO readers this past week.

Magazine loyalists most favored new invention, new partnerships, and new diagnostics news, as well as the Top Companies report, which slipped three notches in ranking from the previous week. Leading in pageviews was the story about a device designed by Emile Daoud, M.D., to physically move the esophagus away from the catheter tip during an AFib ablation procedure. A clinical trial in the United States and Argentina showed the device significantly reduced injury to the esophagus without any adverse effects.

Elos Medtech drove significant traffic with its $409 million acquisition of contract development/manufacturing firm Klingel Holding GmbH, while CoxHealth attracted cybervisitors by partnering with Philips to implement virtual care throughout its hospital network. iHealth also fueled numerous downloads through the release of its home collection kit for HIV and syphilis testing.
